WETA Workshop heeft getekend voor deelname aan de verfilming van Justice League of America, de strips van DC Comics waarin vele bekende superhelden hun opwachting maken. Het Nieuw-Zeelandse special-effects bedrijf, voornamelijk bekend door haar bijdrage aan The Lord of the Rings, zal de kostuums maken voor onder andere Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman en The Flash. De film wordt geregisseerd door George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) en moet in 2010 verschijnen.

Producer Barrie Osborne: "They are doing all the costumes and they're doing a brilliant job. A lot of people thought it would be too hard, that you can only make those things in Hollywood. George Miller has a great take on the material, so it elevates it to something that's not a comic-book movie."
