De berichten hebben een tijdje snel achter elkaar gewisseld; de ene keer zou acteur Pierce Brosnan nog een laatste keer op komen draven om James Bond te spelen, daarna weer niet, toen toch weer wel...en dat was de laatste stand van zaken. Toch bleef Brosnan enigszins vaag toen hem in het programma AMC Sunday Morning Shootout gevraagd werd naar hoe het nu precies zat.
