Morgan Freeman zal de hoofdrol op zich nemen in The Human Factor, een drama dat gebaseerd wordt op het binnenkort uit te komen The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed the World van schrijver John Carlin. De film speelt zich af tijdens het presidentschap van Mandela, met de focus op de Rugby World Cup van 1995 die in Zuid-Afrika werd gehouden. Mandela maakte daarvan een symbool van (inter)nationale verzoening.
