Bruce Campbell, voornamelijk bekend door zijn kordate optredens als Ash in de Evil Dead films, heeft in een interview meegedeeld dat hij binnenkort zichzelf zal spelen in een nog titelloze film. Daarin wordt Campbell ingeschakeld door een dorpje dat door een monster wordt bedreigd.

De film lijkt niet de vierde Evil Dead te worden die regisseur Sam Raimi, momenteel druk bezig met Spider-Man 3, heeft aangekondigd. Er komt daarbij overigens ook nog een Evil Dead remake, waarbij Raimi en Campbell als producers zullen optreden.
