In een interview van The Globe and Mail met NHL speler Mike Comrie staat een opvallend stukje over zijn vriendin Hillary Duff, de kleine Amerikaanse zangeres/actrice die groot werd door haar optredens in allerlei Disney producties.

Although tastefully furnished (Comrie says he's unsure if anything is from The Brick), it is relatively humble by Beverly Hills standards. The kitchen contains evidence of their professional lives – his daily diet is posted on the fridge (from a bacon cheddar burrito for breakfast to five pigs-in-a-blanket as a nighttime snack) and a script marked “Spiderman” sits on the table, with lines for a character simply called “girl” highlighted in yellow (rumours swirl about who Spidey's love interest will be in the series' next installment.)

Mocht dit waar zijn, dan zou Duff mogelijk in de race zijn voor de rol van de "love interest" (Mary Jane of mogelijk Gwen Stacy) van Spider-Man/Peter Parker, gespeeld door Andrew Garfield, in de Spider-Man reboot die in 2012 moet uitkomen. Duff is naast zangeres ook bekend uit films als Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), A Cinderella Story (2004), Material Girls (2006) en What Goes Up (2009).
