Vannacht zijn voor de 91ste keer de Academy Awards uitgereikt. Hieronder zie je de 24 categorieën, met de winnaars en de andere genomineerden. De grote winnaar van de avond is Green Book met drie grote Oscars, waaronder Beste film!

De film van regisseur Peter Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary) wist de Oscars te winnen voor Beste film, Beste mannelijke bijrol (Mahershala Ali) en Beste originele scenario. Ook Roma van regisseur Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men) won drie Oscars, met beeldjes voor Beste regisseur, Beste cinematografie en Beste Beste niet-Engelstalige film.

En dan waren er ook vier Oscar voor Bohemian Rhapsody voor Beste acteur (Rami Malek), Beste montage en twee geluids-Oscars. Actrice Olivia Colman won voor haar rol in The Favourite de Oscar voor Beste actrice en Regina King won voor haar bijrol in If Beale Street Could Talk het beeldje voor Beste vrouwelijke bijrol. Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman won de Oscar voor Beste bewerkte scenario. Ryan Cooglers Black Panther moest het doen met drie Oscars in de technische hoek.
