Echter werd er niet veelvuldig over gesproken omdat het ineens tóch zo'n cinematisch meesterwerk blijkt te zijn. Ondanks een paar positieve tweets, hadden voornamelijk negatieve opmerkingen de overhand. En zo blijft de sequel van Simon Kinberg een grote teleurstelling.
Ondergetekende vond de film persoonlijk vermakelijker dan voorganger Apocalypse (2016) en een leukere vertelling van het 'Dark Phoenix'-verhaal dan The Last Stand (2006). Zijn jullie het eens met deze Twitter-reacties?
I watched Dark Phoenix tonight. It was bad. The best part was when my dog perked up at the dog barking in the beginning, then he barked at the TV for 5 mins demanding to know what happens to that dog.

#DarkPhoenix is too boring to be so bad its good. Its effectively too mediocre for its own good. Not 1 performance from the "younger" cast is believable. Sophie Turner is not a bad actress, as evidenced by GoT, but my god she has the charisma of a wet bag of concrete! lol

Dark Phoenix is trending because apparently, people finally saw it. I've seen it once since June. It's..meh. There's some things I like, some I don't like, and one thing I HATE.
