Voor de 29e keer zijn de nominaties van de Razzie Awards onthuld. Dit keer is er geen één film die alle Razzies zou kunnen winnen. Het zijn namelijk de films Holmes & Watson en Gotti die allebei zes nominaties hebben gekregen.

Ook is er een politiek statement door Donald Trump (Zoolander, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold) aan te pakken. De ook in Hollywood stevig bekritiseerde Amerikaanse president was te zien in onder meer de docudrama Death of a Nation en Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9. De winnaars van de 39th annual Razzie Awards worden op 23 februari onthuld.
