Prison Break en The Lone Ranger-acteur William Fichtner heeft tegenover The Huffington Post onthuld welke rol hij speelt in de aanstaande Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-reboot van regisseur Jonathan Liebesman (World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles, 2011) en producent Michael Bay. Hij liet weten dat hij de rol gaat spelen van Shredder, de kwaadaardige ninjutsu-meester en de aartsvijand van de Turtles.
Fichtner: I play Shredder. It is cool. It's one of those things that came along where I thought, "Really? Let me think about this for a minute." [Laughs] Then I was like, "Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey." I'm very glad that it worked out, I'm really glad that I'm doing it.
De reboot Ninja Turtles herbergt ook rollen van onder meer Megan Fox (April O'Neil), Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), Pete Ploszek (Splinter), Peter Ploszek (Leonardo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello) en Whoopi Goldberg (Bernadette Thompson).
