David Duchovny, vooral bekend als FBI agent Fox Mulder in tv-serie The X-Files, werd onlangs geïnterviewd door AssignmentX. Deze vroegen hem naar de geruchten over een derde X-Files film. Eerder maakte hij, samen met zijn partner Scully (Gillian Anderson), The X-Files (1998) en The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008).

“There is no deal at this point. It’s something I would do in a second and I know Chris [Carter] and Gillian [Anderson] would be interested. It’s really just a matter of generating interest in Fox, then getting a script and getting us all together.”

Wat voor X-Files film zou hij graag zien?

“I think it should go back to the heart of the series with the mythology,”

Bedenker Chris Carter zei in 2008 dat hij minstens nog 1 film wilde maken. Het leek er echter op dat dit nooit meer zou gebeuren vanwege de slechte receptie van X-Files: I Want to Believe. Afwachten dus...
