Een tijdje terug werd duidelijk dat een Justice League film verder weg was dan ooit. Door een heroriëntatie van Warner Bros./DC Comics op de comicverfilmingen kreeg de superhelden team-up een plaatsje in de ijskast. Desondanks kan producent Dan Lin één en ander kwijt over de status bij de filmstudio Warner Brothers:

"[They're] unveiling their DC strategy in January so you'll hear more about that and they'll speak about that in the new year. [It] seems like they're building to Justice League instead of going with the team movie first and doing individual movies after that."

Dus er komt waarschijnlijk eerst een reeks losse superheldenfilms, zoals dat ook bij Marvel gebeurt: Part of the build-up to "Justice League" presumably involves "Green Lantern," though there are obviously several other important properties that could benefit from solo films, such as "Wonder Woman."

Echter meldt hij ook: "Just as an outside observer I know they talk about it as a movie and also a TV show. I don't know if they've figured out which way to go or is it better to put her in a team movie first and then have her come off that."
