In 2018 won Into the Spider-Verse zelfs de Oscar voor beste animatiefilm. Ook was de blockbuster een hit aan de box-office en waren zowel filmcritici als de gewone bioscoopgangers dol op de film. Het eerste deel wist de lat dus behoorlijk hoog te leggen, maar zo te zien doet het tweede deel het ook erg goed.
Resultaat
In de sequel, genaamd Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, zijn de hoofdrollen weer weggelegd voor Shameik Moore als Miles Morales en Hailee Steinfeld als Gwen Stacy.
Beide acteurs weten weer te overtuigen, maar ook nieuwkomers als Oscar Isaac als Spider-Man 2099 en Issa Rae als Spider-Woman worden bedolven onder de complimenten.
