Ze gaan het in de spin-off Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs & Shaw opnemen tegen de slechterik van Idris Elba (The Dark Tower, Avengers: Infinity War). The Rock heeft een foto onthuld met daarop het trio!

Johnson noemt zijn personage - de Diplomatic Security Service-agent Luke Hobbs - 'The Outlaw Lawman', Stathams personage - de huurmoordenaar Deckard Shaw - 'The International Spy' en de slechterik Brixton van Elba 'The Baddest Bad Guy' die de Fast & Furious -franchise tot op heden heeft gehad.

Op de foto niet te zien zijn onder meer de personages van Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission: Impossible - Fallout) en Eddie Marsan (Mowgli, White Boy Rick).
