Eindelijk zijn ze er dan: de eerste reacties van filmcritici op DC-film Aquaman. We vreesden er een beetje voor dat de superheldenfilm van regisseur James Wan tegen zou vallen. Maar dat blijkt gelukkig niet zo te zijn. Critici laten weten dat ze het een geweldige film vinden.
Over het algemeen lezen we op de sociale media dat critici vinden dat he teen prima superheldenfilm is. Hij ziet er mooi uit, is wat raar, campy, en duikt vol zelfvertrouwen in het soms wat absurde bronmateriaal. Ook noemen mensen het een behoorlijk unieke fantasyfilm met een visueel ongelofelijke onderwaterwereld.
Aquaman is a breathtakingly beautiful, weird, badass, FUN idea of a modern superhero fantasy (anime) and makes zero apologies. Second half's one cheer/laugh after another.

#Aquaman is a buckwild movie which is honestly both good and bad in (almost) equal measure. If nothing else, it looks great and it's completely unafraid to just go for it, which I appreciate in it.

Aquaman is a big, fun, wild ride. It's unabashedly melodramatic and over the top with the largest, most ambitious sense of scale imaginable.
