De hoofdrollen voor de verfilming van Fantastic Four zijn bijna allemaal bekend. In volkomen willekeurige volgorde:
- Ben Grimm/The Thing: Michael Chiklis
- Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic: Ioan Gruffudd
- Johnny Storm/the Human Torch: Chris Evans
De heldin die nog niet is vastgelegd is Sue Richards (The Invisible Woman), een rol waarop Jessica Alba volgens Variety de meeste kans maakt. Rachel MacAdams, Elisha Cuthbert en Keri Russel zijn hiervoor echter ook nog in de race.
Fantastic Four is gepland voor 1 juli 2005 en wordt geregisseerd door Tim Story (Barbershop).
