Het is al een tijdje stil rondom de Total Recall-remake. Vandaag werd daarom dus de officiële synopsis van de film uitgegeven. Over acht maanden komt de film uit en deze synopsis bevat meer details dan de meeste dingen die we tot nu toe hoorden rondom te productie. Zo onthult de synopsis dat er géén Mars in de film voorkomt, wat in het origineel nog het geval was.
Dat wil niet zeggen dat de film totaal verschilt van Paul Verhoeven's origineel, want zoals uit onderstaand verhaal blijkt, mist eigenlijk alleen het interplanetaire reizen.
