Michael Fassbender, één van de hoofdrolspelers in Ridley Scotts sci-fi Prometheus, heeft zich onlangs uitgelaten over de productie. Tegenover Los Angeles Times Hero Complex zei de X-Men: First Class acteur het volgende:
I walk on the set and I feel like Im walking on a spaceship. Its breathtaking. All the various panels and screens and its just dealing with a top-notch art department and carpenters and the riggers and everything that goes into putting that together. Its just, well, breathtaking, all of it.
Naast Fassbender bevat Prometheus hoofdrollen voor Charlize Theron en Noomi Rapace. De film begon als een prequel voor Scotts Alien (1979).
Fassbender wil nog niet al teveel ingaan op het plot van de film, vooral niet op zijn eigen personage.
I feel Ive got it at my fingertips, its there but challenging and, you know, Im excited. Ive got a few ideas that Im running with and I think Ive got a grasp on it but its always something that, organically, moving on its own course. Im having a lot of fun with it. Theres a lot of interesting quirks and niches to him and Im having a lot of fun exploring it."
De acteur is enorm opgewonden om te werken met Scott en hij ziet het als een absoluut hoogtepunt in zijn carrière.
Its great. Hes just so precise and fun and mischievous and just full of interesting and quirky ideas for the character. They come to you in passing but then he lets you run with it and theres a lot of freedom there. Im really just enjoying it and everything in general, the whole crew is so veteran and talented from all departments down, the camera, wardrobe, makeup, props, the works youve got the cream of the crop and its an honor just to be allowed to be part of it.
