Vorige maand berichtten we over de geruchten dat Robert Rodriguez misschien plaats zal gaan nemen in de regiestoel bij Deadpool, de Marvel comicverfilming met Ryan Reynolds in de titelrol. Hoewel dit nog steeds niets dan geruchten zijn, heeft de Machete regisseur wel al een kijkje mogen nemen in het script. Tijdens Comic Con zei hij het volgende:
"It was really good. It wasn't supposed to be sent out it was one of those early drafts. They were probably like, 'Robert just finished "Predators," let's see what he thinks at this early stage' ... I got an early sneak peek at it."
Vogens Rodriguez was Reynolds zeer betrokken bij het ontwikkelen van het script.
"He had some really great ideas. Ryan is cool. I liked his ideas and his passion for that project."
De vraag is natuurlijk: gaat Rodriguez de film regisseren of niet?
"They sent me a script to read, [but] I've been really swamped with this other stuff. I've not decided whether anything I do would be after 'Spy Kids' that gives some breathing room. So whether or not I would help develop it is the question right now."
De film staat gepland voor 2012.
