De New York Times komt met de volgende Q&A met regisseur Christopher Nolan. De Inception regisseur gaat in op enkele vragen rondom de derde Batman film. Hieronder lees je het vraaggesprek.
MTV vroeg Nolan of hij überhaupt al bezig is met Batman 3:
Yes and no I suppose would be the answer, he said. We know were aiming for 2012 [as a release date]. Thats been talked about. Were just working on the script, really. My brother [Jonah Nolan] has been hard at work on it for quite some time. Its based on a story that myself and David Goyer have written. Ive been very completely in this movie, he said about his work on Inception, which arrives in theaters on July 16. In a couple of weeks, Ill surface and figure out what Im doing next and how Im going to approach it.
Tegen de Toronto Sun zei hij dit over de The Dark Knight sequel:
Wat betreft de aangekondigde Superman film wist Nolan aan MTV te vertellen dan hij nog niet over de casting heeft nagedacht, aangezien ze nog druk bezig zijn met het verhaal. Hij wil bij het maken van de film gebruik maken van Richard Donners versie uit 1978 als inspiratie:
I was hugely struck by the Donner films in the 70s when I was a kid, he said. In 1978, I saw ["Superman"] and it had such epic scope to it. It took on this incredible, iconic figure and gave that iconic figure an appropriate framing. It made quite an impression on me. Its definitely one of my childhood touchstones of what epic cinema can be.
