Hij regisseerde het eerste deel, produceerde én schreef ze allemaal en nu is hij weer terug voor het vierde deel! Jawel, Paul W.S. Anderson zal de vierde Resident Evil, die de naam Resident Evil: Afterlife gaat dragen, regisseren.

In een interview zei Anderson dat hij zich meer aan de videogames zou houden. Letterlijk zei hij dit: "Once again we're doing it completely with the blessing of the videogame company. We got a lot of flack [on the sequels] for, 'Why isn't the movie set in the mansion just exactly like the very first videogame?..."The game is constantly [moving] and so is the movie franchise. We're doing it very much in conjunction with the developers of the videogame to give the audience something fresh but something that fits within the world of the videogame."

Verder kunnen wij vrij zeker concluderen dat Milla Jovovich terug zal keren voor de rol van Alice.

Zoals we eerder al berichtten staat de voorlopige releasedatum voor 17 september 2010 gepland.
