Waar 'Barbenheimer' in de awardshows vooral de scepter zwaait is er ook altijd die ene show die de uitzondering vormt: de Raspberry Awards, ofwel de Razzies. Ook dit jaar hebben ze weer een flinke lijst samengesteld met de slechtste films en prestaties van het afgelopen jaar.

De best presterende (of slechtst presterende) film bij de nominaties is Expend4bles met zeven nominaties. Zowel voor slechtste film als slechtste prequel, remake, rip-off of sequel is de film genomineerd.

Superheldenfilms
Dat het een slecht jaar was voor superheldenfilms is iets waar in ieder geval een kern van waarheid in zit. Bij de Razzies keren twee films van Marvel en DC veelvuldig terug: Shazam: Fury of the Gods en Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania zijn beiden vier keer genomineerd. Het zijn wel de enige twee films die terugkeren: films als The Marvels en The Flash ontspringen de dans.

Oscarwinnaars
Bij de acteurs zijn een aantal Oscarwinnaars genomineerd. Dame Helen Mirren, die haar Oscar won voor The Queen (2007) is genomineerd in de categorie slechtste actrice voor haar rol in Shazam: Fury of the Gods. Russell Crowe (Gladiator (2000)) en Jon Voight (Coming Home (1978)) zijn beiden genomineerd voor slechtste acteur.

In de fikse rij grote namen zien we ook Oscargenomineerden als Ana de Armas, Salma Hayek, Michael Douglas, Bill Murray en Mel Gibson terugkeren. De Razzies worden traditiegetrouw de avond voor de Oscars uitgereikt, dit jaar dus op zaterdag 9 maart.
