The Hollywood Reporter meldt dat regisseur McG (Terminator Salvation, 2009) de regie op zich neemt van de film The Magic Castle, gebaseerd op de gelijknamige bekende nachtclub uit Hollywood. De nachtclub noemt zichzelf "the most unusual private club in the world" en wordt voornamelijk bezocht door goochelaars en fanatieke liefhebbers.

Het is nog onduidelijk welke richting de film opgaat. Het gebouw is al meer dan 100 jaar oud en is gevestigd aan 7001 Franklin Avenue in Hollywood. Hieronder het pand en de officiële beschrijving die op de website van The Magic Castle is terug te vinden:
