Lisa Cholodenko's opvolger van The Kids Are All Right (2010) wordt een live-action verfilming van Judith Viorsts kinderboek Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day uit 1972. De hoofdrol in de Disney productie is voor Steve Carell, die de vader van Alexander zal gaan spelen.
