Altijd al in een Monty Python film willen spelen? Dit is je kans! Zes gelukkige mannen zullen worden door middel van open audities worden uitgekozen om de jonge versies van de mannen van het Flying Circus te vertolken. De nieuwe productie, een 'biopic' over het leven van de in 1989 overleden Graham Chapman, zal "Gin and Tonic" gaan heten en wordt later dit jaar opgenomen.

[eng]The company will hold an open audition for chaps to trot out their silly walks, dead parrots and prodigious cheese vocabularies on Saturday, March 20 in Hollywood. In addition to Chapman, Hippofilms will cast the roles of fellow founding members John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. All performances will be recorded, and absurd costumes are encouraged.

"Tonic" focuses on Chapman's early days studying medicine at Cambridge, his time with the Python gang, his struggles with alcohol, his ground-breaking stance on homosexuality and his outrageous exploits. The film bio will also feature his other contemporaries including Keith Moon, Peter Cook, Harry Nilsson, Ringo Starr, Marty Feldman, Douglas Adams and David Frost. Casting for these parts will be announced soon.
