MGM zal in Januari met de productie beginnen van Be Cool, het vervolg op de film 'Get Shorty'. F. Gary Gray zal de film regisseren en John Travolta zal wederom in de rol van Chili Palmer kruipen. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gaan we nu ook te zien krijgen als een bodyguard-zanger die een ongemakkelijke samenwerking met Palmer moet aangaan. De film gaat in 2004 in premiere.

In short order, Chili witnesses the murder of his music industry friend by the mob, he agrees to manage an up-and-coming singer, and he's threatened by her mob-connected manager.

The Rock would play the manager's bodyguard, a big guy who wants to be a singer and who happens to be gay. After beating him up in their first encounter, Palmer tries to help the tough guy become a film star.[/eng]
